Yoga teacher in Edinburgh, UK
My first encounter with Yoga was ten years ago after experiencing some serious back problems caused by office work. I admit that before meeting my first teacher Sonja Rzepski Yoga in my mind had much to do with sitting in various positions and not much to do with sweat. I was wrong. After the first class - movement, grace, strength, effort and at the end that beautiful relaxation and peace at mind followed the next day with absence of back pain - it was love at the first sight.
Touched by the work of yoga teacher like Lea Lončar, Csilla Toldy, Katiza Satya, Paul Dallaghan, Maharishi Swami Dev Murti, Amadio Bianco and Jadranko Miklec, I obtained my RYT certificate in 2008 and started teaching Yoga. Whether if it is Ashtanga, Power Yoga, Vinyasa, Prenatal or Postnatal Yoga, Slow Flow or Teen Yoga, I believe there is always something for everyone to lift the energy through regular Yoga practicing. The possibility to adjust classes to every individual, as well as being able to witness the progress of anyone who experiences Yoga, fascinates me to the level of addiction.
For me, Yoga is the most perfect form of exercise that not only benefits the body, but at the same time calms the mind bringing the ultimate relaxation. It has transformed my life to the point where every moment spent practicing or teaching brings me great pleasure that I feel obliged to pass to my students.
Get to know and understand the changes your body is going through. Connect with your baby in a relaxing series of postures that will also bring you so much needed strength, flexibility, courage and peace of mind.
Yoga during pregnancy can help you with issues like swelling, cramps, sickness and mood changes. Practicing Yoga naturally massages the abdomen and helps with baby positioning. Finally, it lifts the overall energy level and has a direct influence on pelvic opening which is a great help during childbirth.
There are few things as inspiring as the feeling of being in a total union with your baby with every breath and movement you take. Sensing your baby's own response to the exercises and experiencing a total relaxation in a moment reserved exclusively for you are precious as well.
SUITABLE FOR: All future mums are welcome to this class whether they've practiced Yoga before the pregnancy or not.
Evening flow Yoga is based on connection of breath and movement in a fluid and creative way. The flow that connects asanas (postures) in one helps the practitioner to reach deep concentration in a manner similar to the effects of meditation. The result is more flexibility and strength both in body and in mind.
It is important to arrive to class on time to make the most of this wonderful session.
SUITABLE FOR: Intermediate and advanced practitioners. Not suitable for beginners.
